After the positive response to the first “Bat’a Inspirations” in Zlín, we agreed that this project makes a lot of sense and we want to continue it. The Bata system not only brought a new wind to the Slovak and Czech industry, but also had a significantly positive impact on the employees who worked there. Many memorialists are still grateful for the opportunities the system opened up for them and for the development it offered them.
That is why we will meet at the end of May in another “Bata town”, which is Svit. This time we have chosen a very topical topic – The use of technology according to T. Bata, which will cover areas such as innovation, technology and business. Even in the context of the current situation, where the next economic cooling is being openly discussed, it is wise to look at how T. Bata was helped by modern technology to overcome difficult times. We chose the topic of trade because we see how important it is for the growth and survival of the company. A number of companies in our country are trying to establish themselves with their own new or innovative product. Anyone who has tried it knows that it is not an easy journey. So let’s take a look together at how Bata did it. Let’s motivate ourselves and look for opportunities for our companies. We would like to see a community of cooperating companies emerge in Slovakia that are inspired by the Bata principles and move the industry in our country forward.
On the first day we will have a programme full of attractive lectures. Right from the beginning, we will be welcomed by Janko Košturiak, who will tell us something about Bata’s view on new technologies and innovations in the context of the crisis. Then Noro Brath from Spinea will tell us about his practical experience of using Bata principles in his professional life. In the evening at the reception we will be introduced not only one, but two direct graduates of the Bata School of Labour – Mr. Vlha and Mr. Perinaj.
The second day we will start with a tour of the “red colony” and the museum with the exhibition “Bata under the Tatras”. We will be accompanied by its co-founder Vlado Zentko, with whom we will discuss the shift towards smart industrial cities. The golden nail of the meeting will be a lecture by the charismatic Gabriela Končitíková from the T Foundation. She will introduce us to the approach to innovation and business as the basis of Bata’s operation. Of course, we will work in groups to apply the principles to practice in our companies.
Registration is open until 27.5., so don’t hesitate to grab your spot. We are looking forward to.
